| Three Different Avenues Staff, Dr. Penelope Saudners, Erika Smith & Darby Hickey, presented at the "Prostitution, Sex Work & the Commercial Sex Industry" conference in Toledo Ohio this fall. The conference is sponsored by Second Chance Prostitution
Program Advisory Board and the
Social Work Department, University of Toledo. Dr. Saunders presented on current restrictions to working with sex workers and how to address them, while Ms. Smith and Ms. Hickey discussed models of building diverse sex worker leadership within programs. Both workshops were well received, and all were invited to return next year. • Purpose To bring together researchers and practitioners in an effort to lay the groundwork for future collaborative research, advocacy, and program development. To educate social service, health care, and criminal justice professionals about the needs and risks of women involved in commercial sex work. • Who Should Attend?
